Matt and Jana met in January of 2023, at a moment when neither of them knew just how much their lives were about to change. What began as an easy connection quickly grew into something deeper and rooted in laughter, shared curiosity, and a mutual love for adventure. From the start, it was clear they were happiest when discovering the world together.

Not long after they met, travel became a defining part of their story. Weekend getaways turned into unforgettable trips to places like Oregon, San Diego, Key West, Puerto Rico, New Orleans, and even Africa. Each destination added another layer to their relationship, new memories, inside jokes, and stories that only grew better with retelling. Whether exploring cities, relaxing at home with their dogs, or navigating far-off places, Matt and Jana found that wherever they were, it felt like home as long as they were together.

That sense of home became official when they moved in together in west Houston, joined by their two dogs, Theo and Patty. While both pups are adored, Matt has formed a particularly special bond with Patty, which is something Jana finds both endearing and entirely predictable.

On November 23rd, 2025, during a trip to Puerto Rico, Matt planned a moment Jana would never forget. On a secluded stretch of beach (her favorite place) with a wooden swings hung over the water, he asked her to marry him. With the waves as their soundtrack and joyful tears in their eyes, Jana said yes.
